Gemstone of the Month

December has three birthstones - Zircon, Tanzanite and Turquoise - and one of my favorite stones to work with is Turquoise. It holds a special place in my heart because my Grandma Betty use to love wearing her turquoise and silver jewelry. I was lucky enough to inherit so many of her pieces when she passed away 5 years ago. Although many of my Grandma Betty's jewelry were the traditional Sterling Silver and Turquoise combo, I prefer to mix gold with my Turquoise pieces.

Some of my most popular items are the gold-filled bead bracelets and Turquoise is sold often. Many of my customers love to stack Turquoise with other gold-filed bracelets. When choosing your gemstones, you can either go with your favorite colors or your favorite stone meaning. Every Bijou Indochine Jewelry piece comes with a description of your stone and/or symbol because knowing the meaning of what you are wearing makes it feel extra special. Many customers will often times choose the gemstone that provides the energy that they needed at that time in their life, without even realizing it.

TURQUOISE MEANING

Turquoise is known as the "master healer," a purification stone. Though grounded and protected, it provides higher energy levels for healing and cleansing. It unites the earth and the sky, bringing together the male and female energies, stimulating romantic love.
